TEHRAN – The Russia-Iran Trade and Industrial Dialogue confab opened in Tehran on Saturday.

A couple of Russian industrial and manufacturing companies are showcasing their achievements at the Tehran Permanent International Fairground during the event, which will last until December 23, the IRNA news agency reported.
Russian Trade Minister Denis Manturov has organized the event.
The Russian companies are active in the fields of metallurgy, machine building, automotive, aerospace, and transportation.
The two sides will discuss ways to launch long-term joint ventures, and establish joint companies and industrial parks.
Earlier this month, Manturov said Russia wants to pursue closer industrial links with Iran.
“The trade turnover between Russia and Iran has been steadily growing.”
“The countries are efficiently cooperating in virtually every field including such industries as oil and gas, energy, metallurgy, machine tool technology, engine manufacturing, automotive, vehicles, aircraft production and others,” he said
